My Credentials:

I bring a strong foundation of academic and professional training to my work, having completed a Master of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Bachelor of Arts. I am a fully accredited social worker and psychotherapist, and a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Since completing my Master of Social Work, I have worked extensively across the Australian hospital system and within public mental health clinics, gaining rich experience in both clinical and community settings. My professional development is ongoing—I continue to receive training in evidence-based approaches within clinical social work, mental health, and psychotherapy, ensuring my practice remains both current and compassionate.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a secondary teacher supporting young people with learning difficulties and complex mental health needs. This earlier chapter of my career gave me deep insight into the challenges individuals and families face when navigating educational and social systems. It also reinforced my commitment to values that guide my work today: respect for all people, social justice, and professional integrity. My background in both education and mental health allows me to offer well-rounded support tailored to each person’s unique circumstances.

My Approach:

As a psychotherapist and social worker, my work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I collaborate closely with clients, working together to clarify their goals and explore pathways that promote wellbeing and a greater sense of agency. I have had the privilege of supporting individuals across all stages of life, many of whom are navigating complex experiences such as anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and neurodevelopmental conditions like ASD, ADHD, OCD, and ODD.

I offer a warm, trauma-informed, and person-centred approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure Therapy for trauma, and both Couples and Family Systems Therapy. Psychoeducation is also a key part of my work, as I believe that understanding one’s experiences can be profoundly empowering. Whether working with individuals, families, or groups, I aim to create a safe and supportive space where healing, growth, and lasting change can unfold.

About Me:

I enjoy spending my leisure time in nature, taking long walks with my moodle, Odin. I also love reading, gardening, film, theatre and painting.
I am passionate about travel, good food and time with friends. Since moving to Oslo, I have discovered the joys of foraging for wild foods, fjord swimming and sauna.

Summary:

I am an English-speaking psychotherapist and social worker located in Oslo, Norway, offering both in-person and online therapy sessions to older children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. I take a warm, trauma-informed, and person-centred approach, drawing on a range of therapies to suit each person’s unique needs. My work is grounded in evidence-based methods such as CBT, ACT, IFS, and systems-focused therapies, with psychoeducation woven throughout. Whether working with individuals, families, or groups, I strive to create a safe, supportive space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
